PatrimarEngenharia S.A. origin is in M. Martins Engenharia e Comércio Ltda., a family company which civil engineering activities started in 1963, especially in highway-railway and reinforced concrete structure construction areas.
In the 1970´s, the Company consolidated its position in the national market, increasing its investments and performing large size works.
In 1980, M. Martins EmpreendimentosImobiliários Ltda. was established, focused on real estate market in building, commercial and residential fields. That was Patrimar´s first naming, while operating in civil construction market.
In 1986, Alexandre Veiga, the Company current CEO and controller shareholder, entered the Company as a partner.
In 1995, in order to revitalize its brand, the Company becomes independent and is then named PatrimarEngenharia Ltda., operating in middle and high income commercial and residential fields.
In 2000, concerning a higher demand for low income housing units, due to the country´s new housing policy and program, the Company decide to establish ConstrutoraNovolar Ltda. (‘Novolar’), focused on middle income and economic residential fields. From then on, a new brand positioning takes place in the Group: Patrimar starts focusing solely on high income commercial and residential real estate developments, and Novolar starts focusing its activities on middle and lowincome residential field.
From 2002, the Company started its partnership with CEF, the country´s main financial institution for housing funding, entering into various agreements aimed at funding residential works designed to low income population. This long relationship resulted in a high expertise in housing project approval procedures, in legal, engineering and credit fields before CEF.
From 2003, a Company consolidation process started in economic residential field, through Novolar activity geographic expansion in the State of Rio de Janeiro.
Proceeding with the Group geographic expansion process, in 2009, Patrimar launched ResidencialAcquaGaleria, in high income residential field, located in the city of Campinas/SP. This undertaking is within resort condo concept, and started Patrimar brand strengthening outside the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte/MG.
In 2013, a major Company project, Medplex (J.M. IRFFI BUSINESS) won the London prize “International Property Awards”, in ‘Office Architecture’ Category. In the following year, the same undertaking won “XI Corporate Architecture Grand Prix’, in ‘Commercial Building’ Category.
In 2014, the Company was chosen as the 9th largest Southeastern region gross revenue construction company, excluding São Paulo, by ‘O Empreiteiro’ Magazine ranking.
In 2015, Martins Veiga family completed the Company capital stock full acquisition, and started a long investment cycle in Company management professionalization.
Yet in 2015, Company financial statements started to be audit by ‘Big Four’ companies, namely, PricewaterhouseCoopers AuditoresIndependentes.
In 2016, the Company the 2nd place as the largest Southeastern region gross revenue construction company, by ‘O Empreiteiro’ Magazine Ranking, excluding São Paulo and the 25 largest construction companies, that are included in a separate ranking.
In 2017, Building Project started, a corporate management full reformulation based on the triad ‘people, processes and technologies’, led by the new Integrated Management System implementation, ERP SAP Hana. The project stood for a relevant innovation in term of Company technological infrastructure, as it enables it to face inherent digital transformation challenges to disruptive business models and artificial intelligence, predictive analyses and big data trends, among others.
In 2018, Martins Veiga family gets certified in ‘PDA - Partner for Shareholder and Corporate Family Development’, and all strategic and managing board gets certified in ‘PDD - Manager Development Program’, both ongoing executive education programs of Fundação Dom Cabral renown Business School.
In 2019, a new Strategic Planning and ‘Result Management Program by Routine Management’ were implemented in the Company, due to ongoing investment in people and strategic management professionalization. In the same year, the Company corporate restructuring took place, through which Novolar becomes Patrimar full subsidiary.
Currently, the Company performs real estate developments in verticalized and diversified fashion, by means of real estate development incorporation, construction and marketing in high, middle and low income commercial and residential fields, and it has delivered, since the beginning of its history, more than 37 thousand real estate units.
Currently the Company is present in the States of Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.
